Top Tips For Great Skin

Hi guys,
hope you guys are enjoying the sun today, it's the hottest day of the year so far in London. I am just sitting in the garden and making the most of the fun. I really hope the weather stays good this summer but you never know with British summer, fingers crossed. On to today's post, I have put together some of my top tips for dealing with acne prone skin. I have always had ''good'' skin that was the case until I turned 20 and I don't know what happened after that it just when bad real bad. I have tried everything under the sun to get rid of the blemishes and control them but the more things I tried the worse the situation got. It's so sad but I am at stage now where my skin is getting better ( I think) and I understand what works for my skin so it's looking somewhat better at the moment (touch wood). Here are top tips;

1. Get your skincare routine sorted out, it doesn't have to be complex with loads of products but make sure you cleanse, tone and moisturiser both in the morning and the evening (check out my skincare routine here).

2. Be knowledge about the ingredients that are included in your products, not all people react badly to many ingredients. But if you know your skin is particularly reactive, find out as much as you can about ingredients that are not so good for your skin.

3. Keep your face clean, I know that this pretty obvious but it's not all about cleansing your face. Your phone, wash cloth and hands etc can all transfer dirt to your skin which can clog up your pores and lead to blemishes. Check out this post where I talk a little more facial hygiene here

4. If one product works for one person doesn't mean that it will work for you. It's particularly hard not try every product out especially when there is so much hype around a certain product or if you read beauty blogs, as they can be quite persuasive. Just remember that your skin will not necessarily react in the same to every product as everyone else, so just be careful and make sure do some research before you invest especially if it is an expensive product.

I am in no way a skincare expert but I can speak from experience. I hope this post helps you in some way, and remember majority of us will have some blemishes some more than others but that is life just  make sure it doesn't take over your life (easier said than done but it can be done). What are top tips for clear skin ?
