WHY IS THERE NOT ENOUGH TIME?

time daniel wellington watch review

Only 1 days left of 2017, I repeat 1 days. I know you have all probably heard this before, how has this year gone by so fast? It's crazy, I can remember the start of the year like it were yesterday. Don't get me wrong I am really excited for 2018 and what it will bring but also I am kinda sad. I am sad in that I feel like I haven't enough time to do everything I wanted to do in life. 24 hours in a day, 365 days in a year is just not enough!

I have never been good with New Year resolutions, I don't really like making them and I don't really stick to do them. I don't like the pressure. Then the disappointment when you don't achieve them, I hate that feeling because it's all on you. I am the type of person that is very harsh on themselves,  and I don't like putting myself in situations where I feel like a failure (because if you know me, you know that I am very dramatic even about the smallest of things and just over worry). I am not saying, I don't ever set myself goals I do. Setting goals is a good thing, but goals change throughout the year and I find resolutions quite rigid. I don't think I am putting my point across clearly, but I hope you understand sort where I am coming from. I am not the hugest fan of resolutions. Also making them at the start of the year for the year,  make it seems like a huge chunk of a goal and I prefer working towards smaller goals - they are more manageable and achievable not that resolutions aren't achieved and achieved all the time by other people.

Also, I feel that I always need more time to achieve resolutions. I admire people that make resolutions and stick with them throughout the year. That takes a certain level of dedications and discipline. I have always been sort of good with my time management. I do get things done but I get so easily distracted by literally everything it's on another level. Maybe that is why I feel like I don't have grasp over time.

Everyone has the same amount of time, what sets us apart is our attitude towards time. Our attitude towards time reflects our attitude towards life. Time is a luxury, what we do with our time is what we do with our lives. In every moment of time, there is an opportunity and it's your choice to make something of it. Time is precious because it will never return.

On a brighter note, I want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for reading my little blog and being so supportive of my content. I wish you all the best in the New Year, good vibes all round.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

HOW TO GET GOOD SKIN WITH JUST TWO PRODUCTS

tanya burr and glossier makeup review

Most mornings there are two things that I want, 1 more time in bed and 2 more time in bed, kidding to look like I have had the best sleep ever! That is not the reality, I often wake up look exhausting and  that is not a good look. That was until I stumbled across the gold mine of skin routines, that will have you looking fresh, and glowing every morning.

I have been a fan of Glossier for the longest time and you can just imagine my excitement when they announced that they were shipping to the UK, *happy dance* (check out my first experience of the glossier must haves). I haven't tried a moisturiser like the Glossier priming moisturiser. This Glossier offering, is the perfect combination of primer and moisturiser. It works to hydrate the skin and create a smooth base for makeup. Not only that but it leaves your skin looking incredible glowing, but not in  that greasy way instead more of a that healthy glow from within way. The formula is packed with hyaluronic acid, mushroom extract, vitamins A, C, and E, green tea and honey. With an added  combination of antioxidants and powerful oxygenating agent, it works to improve skin's texture and prevent cell damage. I am obsessed with it, I have been reaching it for nearly everyday. I love the packaging, it's super easy to use and hygienic. Thanks to the combination of antioxidants and powerful oxygenating agent, it works to improve skin's texture and prevent cell damage.

I am not one of those people that never jumps on a celebrity, or youtuber endorsed products, not because I don't like them or anything but I just like to stick to what I know and like. I was at Superdrug with a couple hours to spare, so I went on a swatching spree. I was pleasantly surprised with the Tanya Burr range, I picked up so many of her products. I love her highlighters!!!!!! I have been using the Face Illuminator with the Glossier moisturiser every morning. The instructions say to mix in with your foundation, but I don't wear foundation so. It;s just worked out really well for me. Its a yellow golden cream consistency, there are no glitter pieces in this at all. It's so smooth and even, that I can get away with applying  it all over my face. It leaves me with a healthy golden hint to my skin. It looks gorgeous and anything that leaves me looking that much more awake, I am into.

I can't believe that it's already the 5th of December, my goodness where has this year gone?? However I am super excited for the New Year, I have such a good vibe about it.

Let me know if you have tried anything from Glossier or the Tanya Burr range?

HOW I PLAN ON OVERCOMING MY FEAR OF RED LIPSTICK THIS WINTER

rihanna red lipstick ruby woo
Prince Harry is getting married!!! I just watched their interview on Youtube and I am gushing. They make an adorable couple and my friends need to step it up, their mutual friend set them up. Moving on from the Royal wedding forcefully, the subject at hand today is my irrational fear of red lipstick.

Red lipstick, red lipstick. I have always wanted to be one of those girls that effortless rocks a red lip, whether it's down to the local supermarket to pick up some bread or to a big fancy party. I can't tell you on how many occasions, I have planned to wear a red lipstick, wore the red lipstick and then wiped it off in favour a more nude colour because I didn't have the guts to wear it out of the house.

mac ruby woo

My current obsession with red lipstick could be largely down to my stalkerish behaviour of beyond cool French girls on Instagram. I am an Instagram addict, I am on that for far too long (check out my not so failure of an attempt to detox from social media). I can confirm that French girls know, how to wear a red lip. It's not fair, why do they look so natural and good?

There is no better reason to whip out your favourite lip, than the festive party season. It's normal to wear a red lipstick this season,  everyone is doing it? Did that help, 3 years of studying psychology and I have resorted to this? Honestly, it does help and for me, it's made me feel a lot more comfortable wearing the more daring shade. Drum roll, please here comes my top tips for wearing red lipstick this winter.
  1. The first hurdle, find your favourite red lipstick. You would think that was the easy part, but with a billion red shades in the market (all different, I thought I should point that out) it's hard to know where to start. I have read those articles online about how to choose a red lipstick but I find that it's just best to go out there and try them on yourself. The same will probably look different on you than it does on me. A couple of favourites include Lipstick Queen in Scarlett Red (appropriately named) such a gorgeous true bright classic red. One of my ultimate reds is the Loreal Colour Riche Exclusive Julianne's Red , this is more of raspberry red but definitely warmed toned. I love that it just brightens up any look and with this terrible weather any added brightens is a bonus.
  2. Ease yourself into it. It easier to start off with a stain because they aren't so bold. Also they have the added benefit of being extremely easy to wear and low maintenance (win win).
  3. The third and final tip is that pulling off red lip is all in the prep. Make sure that your lips are smooth, moistured and you have a lip liner to stop the colour bleeding.

There you have it ladies and gents (are there any guys that actually read my blog, very interested in knowing). The most important thing is that makeup should be fun and expression of you, so if you want to wear a red lipstick do it and if don't. But do check out my post on why you don't need a reason to wear makeup.

DRUGSTORE FACE MASKS REVIEWED

superdrug aloe vera face masks senstive skin face mask

Everyone loves a good face mask right? I am forever trying out different face masks, face masks are my favourite skincare product because with a good face mask you can see instant results.  Over the last couple of weeks I have been trying out the Stila Glowing Reviews Gentle Skin Renewal MaskSuperdrug De-Stressing Mud Mask and the Soap & Glory No Clogs Allowed Mask.

Stila Glowing Reviews Mask:
A gentle scrub mask that exfoliates the skin with fruit enzyme, fruit acids and exfoliating beads, which work together to make your skin brighter and clearer. This mask and I didn't get on, it's supposed to a gentle scrub mask but I found it a little too harsh for my skin (my skin is overly sensitive so that might be it). It made my skin really smooth but it did nothing for my dull complexion, which what I was expecting. It also left my face really red, it could be the harshness of the beads and the fragrance in the mask (but it smells so nice). Maybe I am the wrong person to be testing out this mask, but I don't think it is worth it at £16 and I wouldn't personally repurchase. Might use the remaining scrub as a hand scrub because it really left my skin super smooth and soft. It might be great for you if you have a oilier skin type and your skin isn't as sensitive as mine.

Soap & Glory No Clogs Allowed Mask:
The Soap & Glory is a self heating detox mask, I am usually skeptical of 'self heating' mask because I haven't found one that actually heats up. According to Soap & Glory this mask works to control breakouts and blemishes by unclogging your pores. It also contains glycerin which helps to keep your skin soft and moisturised. The mask is formulated for oily and combination skin types however even with my dry skin I didn't find that it left my skin dried out. To my surprise this mask actually heated up when I applied it to my face, it felt kinda weird but a good kind of weird. It left my face feeling really clean and the process was enjoyable (can you say about a mask?) but I don't think it helped in controlling or preventing breakouts on my skin. The self heating aspect is slight gimmicky and I don't really think it did anything for my skin.

Superdrugs De-Stressing Mud Mask:
My skin has been really irritated at the moment and very reactive, so I decided to try out this Superdrug De-Stressing Mud Mask with added aloe vera that helps to calm the skin down.  At £2.95 and with a simple ingredients list I didn't think it would do any harm to try it out. It works like any other mud mask, and it left my skin really cleansed usually with mud mask my face is left red because they can be quite strong but with this there was no redness at all. The mask itself has a thick creamy consistency that feels instantly cooling and refreshing on the skin. I would definitely repurchase this mask because it has worked really well for my skin and I would definitely recommend it for those with sensitive skin.

My favourite mask out of the three is definitely the Superdrug De-Stressing Mud Mask (surprise surprise) because it worked the best for my skin and it's so affordable at £2.95, it's an absolutely bargain. Let me know what your favourite drugstore face masks are, I am looking to find some more gems. I know that this post was a little bit on the negative side, but I think that it's useful to read about all opinions on products good and bad. I hope that it helps in some way. I love face masks and I constantly using them. I have put together my favourite masks to combat winter skin, check that out here.

FINDING THE PERFECT NUDE LIPSTICK

nude lipstick perfect tips and guide how to
Finding the perfect nude lipstick isn't an easy task. After many late nights reading one too many ''the ultimate guide'' to finding your perfect nude lipstick, I have found mine (doing a little happy dance). Rimmel have some of the best drugstore lipsticks and they have come through for me on this occasion. The Rimmel Only 1 Matte Lipstick in the shade 'look who is talking' is the perfect nude lipstick for me.

I made it my personal mission to find the perfect nude lipstick, anyone would tell you it's an absolute essential. I picked up this lipstick early this year and I have been wearing it ever since, yes even throughout summer. I have the weirdest colouring. I have a quite dark olive-toned complexion, with super pigmented lips. Normal nude lipsticks, the paler ones just look terrible on me, I end up looking like I am ill.

This shade even though it wouldn't be considered your typical nude, I find that it works for me. That's the most important thing to remember when looking for your perfect nude lipstick. What works for me, might not work for you. Nude lipsticks are very a personal business. I have seen girls with darker skin tones pull off paler pinker toned nudes and look incredible but on me, it just doesn't work. No matter how much I may like Victoria's (from Inthefrow) nude lipstick I just can't make it work for me.

nude lipstick victoria inthefrow nude lipstick

On to the good stuff, this shade is a really pretty 90s brown, don't be scared. It's super wearable, and
of course, it will look different on you than it does on me but it's still a very very pretty colour. These lipsticks are described as a high coverage matte lipsticks. I don't find it drying at all, in fact, the complete opposite it's incredibly comfortable to wear. It's so easy to apply, one of the main reasons that it's become a staple is that I don't need a mirror to apply 1 swipe and that's it. Because it's not super matte, I find that it doesn't last as long (but lipsticks generally just don't last long on my lips, so I wouldn't hold this against it) despite that it does wear really nice and leaves you with that my lips but better tint.

I love Rimmel lipsticks and I am always banging on about the Kate for Rimmel lipsticks, especially the 107 (I have a post on it here). This post is not in any way sponsored by Rimmel and they haven't sent me the products, but Rimmel if you are reading, it's my birthday this month and I would be more than happy to receive all the lipsticks thank you in advance.

Let me know what your perfect nude lipstick is.

INTRODUCING INSTA COOL SKINCARE BRAND ENZO LASZIO

As a self-described skincare junkie, I am always trying out new brands and products (one of 15 reasons why I love blogging for the rest check out). Instagram is such a great tool for finding new brands. I came across Erno Laszio on Instagram and instantly had to get my hands on some of the products. The cool minimal aesthetic and the raving reviews did it for me, anything that is remotely branded as insta cool I am over (goodness what is my life).

When the brand reached and asked if I wanted to try a couple products, I didn't waste a minute before I said yes. I received the products sometime in July, so I have been testing for a good 3 months.
I am just getting into essences, you could argue that it's another fancy step but I love skincare and my first experience into essences was the DHC essence, which was AMAZING (I have a full review, read it).

The Erno Laszio White Marble Essence Lotion has more of a liquid consistency in comparison to the DHC one but I find that it absorbs incredibly into the skin. A good skincare routine is all about layering products, at least that is what I have read somewhere. I pat it into my skin after cleansing and before applying any sort of serum. It just leaves my skin looking plump and refreshed. I think that it's really nice for this time of year, my skin just needs that extra bit of hydration. The formula is packed with Glycerin, which works to attract and retain moisturise in the skin.

I know that we have come very far when it comes to using soap to wash our faces but there is something about the Erno Laszlo White Marble Cleansing Bar (also it's technically not a soap). The fact that it comes in a bar, makes it so easy to use and I love the really cute packaging looks super fancy in my bathroom. I have really dull complexion, it's the bane of my life. Having included this bar into my routine introduces a gentle exfoliation that means the dullness is kept at bay. Also because it's super gentle it doesn't mean that I am not over doing it with the exfoliation. The bar makes use of fruit acids that break down dirt and exfoliate deep within the pores. One more thing, it doesn't leave with you that tight squeaky clean feeling.

One of the most luxurious moisturisers I have ever used, the Erno Laszlo White Marble Night Moisturiser. If it was good enough Audrey Hepburn, it's mostly certainly good enough for me. Erno Laszlo's 'White Marble' range is all about balancing tone, illuminating and correcting hyper pigmentation  Which makes it perfect for my skin. This moisturiser is infused with Chinese Plum Extract and Active Complex to help bring back luminosity and to work at reducing the appearance of dark spots and hyperpigementation. Also, it just feel incredible on the skin, like it's a real treat to apply at the end of my routine. My skin is going through an oily patch, so I am staying as far away from heavy moisturisers and this is so lightweight and skins into your face. It's worth every penny.

Have you tried anything from the Erno Laszlo range?

THE 4 WINTER HANDBAG ESSENTIALS YOU NEED TO SURVIVE

Definitely feeling the cold breeze now. I can't believe it's nearly November already? Before we know it, it will be the end of 2017 and we will be saying hello to 2018. With the cold weather comes many joys and many not so joyous aspects too. But being the ever so prepared individual, I already have my bag packed with all the handbag essentials to survive this cold weather.

I don't really like carrying big handbags, I am one of those people that will end carrying their whole house if I could. The shoulder pain is not a good thing either. I am trying more and more to leave my big bags at home and just carry a small bag. As space is limited, only the essentials make into the bag. I have swapped out my current portable beauty stash for a more compacted only winter essentials stash.

I always, always carry a hand cream, it's weird to find me without a hand cream on hand (that is not just me right, hand cream is at the top of the winter handbag essentials list). I am quite obsessive with moisturising my hands, I have an undiagnosed issue and I find myself frequently moisturising my hands. I have swapped my regular hand cream for this mini Soap & Glory The Righteous Body Butter. It's perfect for the winter, it provides an instant injection of moisture. Even though it's described as a body butter, I find that it absorbs into the skin easily. So you are not sitting there trying to vigourously rib the cream into my skin. I might be the only person but I find the scent a little overpowering and it's great for me especially that it doesn't linger around. However, I might be just very weird because a lot of people LOVE the original Soap & Glory scent.

As well as dry hands, the bane of my life during the winter months is dry lips but lucky I have discovered the best ever lip balm taking it straight to my winter handbag essentials list. The Ermana Refresh Lip Balm* has been keeping my lips in check, a rich blend of natural butters which work to soothe, plump and hydrate even the sorest of chapped lips. Of course, I have to have some lipsticks, they are just a necessity. I usually have more but, I have managed to restrain myself and just carry around two with me in this bag. You have to have an everyday nude, the perfect my lips but better colour. The best thing about a 'my lips but better colour' is that you can just slap it on without a mirror and can guarantee to get near perfect application almost every time. This Burberry Kisses lipstick in Sepia is a brown toned pink which adds some warmth to my complexion which is great especially as the colder weather can make me look a little on the paler side.

I always carry some sort of bold lipstick, and as it is the colder season my go-to bold lipstick is the Kate Moss for Rimmel lipstick in 107 (obviously). You never know when, you need to spruce up your makeup, and a bold berry lipstick instantly takes your make up look from super casual to glam making it a winter handbag essential. I carry this one with me because this is one of those colours that looks great on everyone and it's pretty much foolproof in terms of how pretty it will look.

Let me know what your winter handbag essentials are.

WHY YOU DONT NEED AN EXCUSE TO WEAR MAKEUP

stylist why women wear makeup

Women are always made to feel like they need an excuse to wear makeup, there is this pressure to explain ourselves. Why do you need a reason to wear makeup? Why can't you wear it just because you want to?

I'm the worst, I explain my decisions all the time even when I am not asked to just because I feel like I need to. With social media (here we go again) I see it over and over again, people asking or commenting on people's choice to wear makeup ''Why does she have to wear so much makeup, she doesn't need it'' ?'' Why is wearing that eyeshadow''? Basically a lot of WHYs!

I adore everything beauty, that is why I started a beauty blog. I needed an outlet for my obsession because everyone in my real life were fed up with me.  Also, can you really have enough makeup? Every red lipstick is different, believe me.

I wear makeup because I love it, it's that simple. I enjoy putting on my makeup, even if that means waking up a little earlier in the mornings (and I really love sleep). I find its creative and therapeutic, it gives you that time to zone out and focus on yourself.

I don't wear makeup every day ( I am so glad I can do that, all thanks to this intense but worthwhile treatment for giving me the clearest skin) and that is still fine. Sometimes, I wear loads of makeup and that is fine even if I go out with highlighter that out of this world just to go grab some bread from the corner shop. Sometimes, I wear the bare minimum and that is fine. I don't think wearing makeup with a purpose is a bad thing, it's just that you don't have reserve makeup for special occasions. If you want to wear your special pink lipstick on a gloomy Wednesday morning go ahead. Every day is an occasion, and makeup has the power to make you feel like a better version of you when you wear it.

So this week I said to myself, you know what I am gonna wear all the makeup products I want and experiment with my look (finally use up more of the products I stored away in drawers after drawers). There is no reason why you can't wear that beautiful sparkly eyeshadow to get your morning coffee.

Do you feel like you need an excuse to wear makeup?

ALL THE NEW MURAD SKINCARE RELEASES YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT

Murad has quickly become one of my favourite skincare brands. It's one of the brands, where I know that I will like 99.9% of their products. It's a brand you can trust (now that really sounds like an ad, I promise I am not being paid or being forced in any way to say this).

A couple of months ago I had the opportunity to be invited to have breakfast with the Murad team and the Dr Murad himself ( he is a pretty big deal in the industry). They showed some of their new releases and their reveal their new campaign.

Part of the reason why I trust Murad as a brand is that they do the science and research behind the products. One of their new exciting releases is the new Murad Rapid Relief Spot treatment*. As some who seems to always get a new blemish popping up at the most inconvenient of times, this product is a savior. A clear gel formula that works to heal and reduce the size and redness of blemishes within 4 hours. It contains 2% salicylic acid that attacks the spot, with a clever patent complex inspired by pine and thyme extracts to work on skin irritants to create a healthy skin balance. While horse chestnut and oats extracts soothe the skin and reduce redness. I couldn't do a review without testing the very impressive 4-hour claim. Isn't it funny that when you want a new blemish (said no one ever) you don't get one but you don't want them (100% of the time) they appear out of nowhere. I can report back that it worked for me. The spot looked significantly smaller and almost all of the redness had disappeared. I love that there is no drying or peeling, so you can put it underneath your makeup and just let it do its magic.

I am a face mask fanatic, they are one of my favourite things to do (as you can see I lead a very exciting life, check out favourite 4 masks you need to combat the havoc winter causes your skin). This new dual system is genius - definitely the way to go forward. The Murad Hydro-Glow Aqua Peel* injects the skin with moisture and while also exfoliating the skin to reveal smoother and brighter skin. The first step is the Retexturing Swab which is drenched with an AHA blend of Lactic and Glycolic Acids, they work together to gently exfoliate the skin getting rid of dull dead skin cells and unclogging pores. The next step is the Moisturise Infusion Mask, it's a sheet mask infused with botanicals extracts and Hyaluronic Acid to provide an immediate boost of hydration to the skin. Together both steps leave your skin looking, plumped with moisture, smooth, clear and brighter.

Anything to get great skin, I am up for. There is definite hype surrounding supplements at the moments. I like the idea of taking supplements, its show that you really have your shit together. The Murad Hydo-Glow Food Supplements* work to promote healthier looking skin from within, it boosts cellular hydrations levels. It contains Glucosamine, which an active ingredient which serves as the foundation for Hyaluronic Acid and Collagen. Hyaluronic Acid and Collagen are important for retaining and locking moisture in the skin cells. Over time the supplements help to increase hydration in the skin, making sure that skin looks hydrated, smooth and radiant. I can't really give any feedback on this because honestly, I have been taking them properly. But I am going to be really strict this month with taking them daily. I will report back if I do see any difference in my skin.

These are my favourite, the Murad Rapid Resurfacing Peel*. I love Glycolic Acid, my skin really gets on with it. If I find that my makeup is just not sitting right on my skin or the texture just doesn't look right this is the product I turn to. I love that it's just so easy to use, definitely lazy girl approved. The towelettes are individually wrapped so all you have to do is open one and wipe it all over your skin and let it do its magic. The potent combination of Glycolic Acid and Vitamin C work to instantly and gently retexturise skin, leaving your skin looking bright and refreshed. The next morning your skin looks amazing! Also, I have super sensitive I haven't experience any reactions or stinginess whenever I have used the peel. I would definitely recommend you this product, especially during this time of year when the cold weather can make your skin look super dull and lack lustre.

THE ONLY LIPSTICK YOU NEED THIS SEASON

bloglovin fall autumn winter best lip colours

I promised you the comfiest lip product, and I am here to deliver. The Nars Velvet Lip Glide, the lip product with a difference is the ultimate comfy semi-matte lip colour. More than just a liquid lipstick, it's incredibly light and comfortable on the lips but with a rich dense velvety texture. It is very bit as long-lasting as the traditional super dry matte lip product but it has the weightlessness and cushiony texture of a balm almost. It's what you expect clouds to feel like.

Nars have truly combined the best of both texture and colour, the formula is loaded with colour pigment to deliver. Also with an oil fusion complex that works to ensure a smooth application, while also keeping lips soft, supple and nourished throughout wear. Both aspects work together to give you a formula that glides on super smoothly, feeling completely dreamy and isn't at all drying despite
being semi-matte.

In terms of colour, No.675 is the perfect brown toned nude colour. As someone with pigmented lips, I find it really hard to find nude lipsticks that don't make me look ill. This is one that doesn't and if you have a darker skin tone this works really nicely as a warm nude colour (just the right combination of pink and brown tones). It's just one of those colours that will flatter all skins tones and ages. It's definitely one that I will be repurchasing.

From top to bottom, No.675, Toy, Chez Claude
As cliche as it might be, as soon as autumn approaches I am pulling out those berry toned lipstick and Chez Claude is the perfect berry lip for those who are not as confident in rocking a bold berry lip. It's that I have made an effort but not too much effort lip colour. The muted berry tone make it perfect for everyday wear this autumn/winter. Toy is a bold, vibrant, berry toned deep purple colour. If you are going to go for a bold lip, you might as well go all out, right? I don't typically go for purple lip colours , as they can be too cool toned and not sit right on my warm complexion. But Toy is not too warm toned or too cool toned it's just perfectly in the middle and it looks beautiful against all skin tones.

Let me know if you have tried the Nars Velvet Lip Glide.

4 MASKS YOU NEED TO COMBAT WINTER SKIN

vitamin c hydrating skin face mask

I think we have well and truly transitioned into Autumn and Winter is definitely coming. Welcome cold weather, I am not going to lie I am a summer person through and through. I hate the cold weather, shorter days, the lack of sunshine it's not for me. I am rambling and going off topic. Yes, I really dislike the cold weather but I am a sucker for face masks (comes with the skincare junkie territory).

how to get clear skin how to hydrate the skin

Our skin pays the price for the change in weather. With cold weather comes flakiness, dry patches, dehydrations, inflammation, dullness and I could go on and on. One really effective way of really tackling each problem is with a face mask. And with the ease and increasing popularity of face masks in particular sheet masks. You should be including a face mask in your skincare routine, at least 3 times a week. There was a time, where I did a sheet mask every single day for just over a week and my skin looked amazing ( I have a post coming up on that very soon, stay tuned). If it's good enough for Korean women with perfect skins, then it's good enough for me.

Like the skincare junkie I am, I have upgraded my skincare routine to combat the havoc that comes with the change in season. I have not 1 but 4 face masks in my collection, that work to battle against the winter warfare. Goodness, I make it seem like I am going into battle.

QUICK FIX VITAMIN C OVERNIGHT MIRACLE MASK:
Notably, this season's must have skincare product. The Quick Fix overnight mask contains Vitamin C and Licorice, which both acts as instant illuminator revealing brighter, clearer skin that's incredibly smooth and supple. Honestly, I have always thought of overnight masks as a little gimmicky but this offering from Quick Fix packs some serious punch, with an affordable price tag. When it comes to skincare I can be a little bit of snob. So, I didn't have much hope for it but I here to tell you it works and you do in fact wake up with a glow and radiance to your skin, I am into really into it. Think of this as you one stop method of restoring your summer glow.

SUKIN PURIFYING FACE MASK:
The cold weather calls added hydration to your skin whenever and wherever possible. I am no expert, but whenever hydration levels begin to drop in my skin this opens up doors for a whole load of skin related problems. Hydration is key, major key (sorry I had to do it). You wouldn't typically think of turning to a purifying mask for hydration, but on hold this Sukin mask is made of gentle Kaolin clay, soothing Aloe Vera and hydrating Rosehip and Jojoba Oils that work together to inject the skin with moisture as the mask dries. Not only, does it work to hydrate the skin but delivers immediate results in that it leaves your skin looking and feeling refreshed, clean and supple - thanks to the clay base.

CLARINS SOS COMFORT NOURISHING MASK:
The cold dry air is harsh on the skin and people find that their skin much more sensitive and reactive during this season. This mask is designed to repair and relieve damage inflicted by the harsh external factors, reducing redness, increasing moisture levels and plumpness in the skin. The rich buttery formula contains rich essentials fatty acids, plant extracts, mango oil and kernel butter to immerse in the skin in long lasting nourishment and hydration. It calms my skin down. I have loads of redness on my skin and which worsened by the cold air and this mask reduces that situation.

MALIN & GOETZ DETOX FACE MASK:
A gentle deep cleanse is perfect to combat that classic case of winter face. This Malin & Goetz offers multiple benefits with minimal effort. The lightweight gel formula uses innovative oxygenating ingredients that work to deep clean your pores without being harsh or irritating to the skin. The addition of hydrating ingredients creates a physical barrier over the skin to lock in hydration. It doesn't stop there, the Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and Soy Protein brighten and firm revealing a clearer, supple and radiant complexion. This masks smells incredible, I can't think of what it reminds me of but it's a sweet. It's not a sickly sweet scent, it's refreshingly and really nice. It also comes in this handy fuss free pump packaging.

You have probably gathered that I love a good face mask, and I now all I want to do is put on a face mask (if you wondering I did indeed put on a face mask, I went for the Malin & Goetz mask). Let me know your favourite masks.

EASY QUICK MAKEUP ROUTINE FOR DEWY GLOWING SKIN EVERY MORNING

quick and easy natural makeup foundation routine

I have always been lazy when it comes to makeup. I am always taking the easy route, whenever possible so when I stumbled across this easy dewy base routine I stuck with it. This has been my base routine for the last two weeks or so, and I have been loving it. Its pretty perfect, it's quick and it leaves me with natural glowing skin (that's what we all want right?)

I have been using the Revlon PhotoReady Skinlights Face Illuminator in peach and the Soap & Glory Show Good Face 2- in-1 Foundation & Primer (I can't find the link online but it's available in Boots). I apply little bit of the Revlon face illuminator underneath my foundation. It feels really light, and application is really smooth, even though it's from the drugstore there are no large shimmer or glitter particles. The finish is very subtle and natural. But when I do want a little extra glow, I mix it into my foundation and I find that it adds a beautiful overall glow to my usually dull complexion (especially during this time of year). Also the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel and Clarins Gentle Exfoliating Toner has been really helping with my dull complexion, they are definitely products you should look into if like me your skin tends to go more on dull side around this time of year.

There isn't much talk about this foundation, but it's so up my street. It has a very light and watery consistency which in my opinion is a lot easier to work with and it makes applying foundation really smooth. It has been my go to foundation for the summer, because its lightweight and doesn't sit heavily on the skin. It blends seamless into the skin, application is a dream. The finish is definitely dewy, it adds a glow to the skin even without the use of any highlighting primer and one I reach for when my complexion is looking a little lack lustre.

If you are in the market for a new foundation and you are after something dewy I would totally recommend this foundation. I hope Soap & Glory haven't discontinued it because I can't find it online but it's definitely worth checking out next time you are in Boots. Same with the Revlon face illuminator, the Highstreet/Drugstore are definitely stepping up their game when it comes to highlighters.

Let me know what your easy go to base routine is like.
