The Bobbi Brown Shimmer Block Drugstore Dupe

How pretty are the Bobbi Brown shimmer bricks? At £32 they are quite expensive but they are just so pretty it's hard not to want them in your makeup collection. Fret not the drugstore has done really well and produced some impressive dupes for the Bobbi Brown shimmer block. I picked up three, (a little excess but I still didn't spend as much as one Bobbi Brown shimmer block) but I think they are some of the best available in the drugstore.

B.Glowing Shimmer Block:

I love this one, it's the perfect pick me up for when my skin is looking a little dull. It's made up of 5 stripes of 4 bronzy highlighter goodness and 1 lighter highlighter colour. This product is highly pigmented and the shimmer packs a punch, for an everyday look, I have just been lightly sweeping over the tops of my cheeks for a hint of colour and some glow. At first I was a little afraid to use this well because it does look quite scary, I didn't want to end up looking like a disco ball but the end look is really nice. There is a more pink toned one, that I have my eyes on so pretty.

Revlon Highlighting Palette in Bronze Glow:
Revlon do two colour variations for their highlighting palette, I picked up the Bronze Glow one. Out of three I did find that this one was slightly more on the pink side, and I could get away with using it as a blush and highlighter in one which is especially good for busy mornings. You could still use a blush underneath, because the colour isn't  too strong and you won't look like you have over done it with the blush. It gives a subtle, non chucky shimmery glow to the skin, which is really nice and it gives you that healthy dewy bronzed look.

Beauty UK Shimmer Box No.1 Bronze:
Out of the three this one is the most affordable, costing only £4.99. I did find that with this one, the shimmer particles were slightly larger, but unnoticeable when you blended it into the skin properly. It leaves a beautiful golden bronzy glow to the skin, especially great for when your skin is looking really pale or dull.

I found all three really easy to use, the colour or the shimmer particles won't large so they sat on the skin really beautifully. The quality of these are really amazing for the price you are paying. I would recommend all three, but I have been reaching for the B. Beauty one, because the colour compliments my skin tone really well.

  6. Ooh sounds just right up my alley! I bought the Revlon one in a pink color since it looks similar to the BB Shimmer Brick in Pink Quartz but I might go back for the peachy one.
