Top Drugstore Setting Powders

Hi guys,
When it get a little warmer, my face automatically gets a lot more oilier urgh. So I have to bring out the powders to keep the oiliness at bay. I am not your powder type of girl, but I picked up a couple of powders to try out. I didn't expect much from these powders, usually people complain that more affordable powders are not that great and heavier however I was pleasantly surprised.

I picked this blotting powder from Soap & Glory when they had a 3 for 2 offer (check out what else I got here).  I really really like this powder, it's so finely milled (I have always wanted to say that, I am kinda sad) you can't even feel it on your face and it's a dream to apply. No matter how many times I reapply, not that it needs to be touched up regularly it never seems to look cakey ever. It does a really good job at keeping my makeup in place and controlling the oil on my t-zone. I would definitely recommend this powder to everyone, it's super lightweight, translucent and affordable.

I had to get this one right? I wanted to see what the hype was about, it seems like this is a beauty blogger favourite. The verdict I like it, it's not too powdery or heavy, so you can't really feel it on your face and it doesn't mess up your foundation. It does keep my t-zone matte through the day and I don't really have to touch up too much, which is a good thing. I can definitely see what the hype is about, and it's crazy affordable.

I picked up the Loreal BB Powder, mainly because of how it felt when I swatched it.  The texture of this powder is amazing, it feels so velvety and super soft. I really like this powder, it leaves my face looking really smooth without looking too powdery. It does a job at controlling my oiliness and setting my makeup but I had to do a little touch up near the end of the day, which is pretty good. The only negative I have to say is that, there is only two colours available they are both on the light side. I wouldn't recommend this one for those with darker skin tones but it doesn't add too much colour so I found that I got away with it.

I would definitely recommend, everyone looking for a blotting/setting powder to check out these powders because they are really good for the price you pay.

Let me know what your favourite powder ?

  5. I can't believe Soap and Glory is a drugstore brand. I mean, is it just a drugstore brand in the UK? I sure don't see it here in America except for Sephora... I really want to try it!

P.S. Your blog design is so nice and simple :)
