The Drugstore Products That Are Worth Trying Out

Hi guys,
I love buying and trying out new beauty products like all the time but that can get quite expensive. However the drugstore is a much more purse friendly option and actually there are some really good products you can find at the drugstore. For this post I have put together some of my favourite drugstore (I feel weird saying drugstore, it's too American) finds that you have to try out.

Drugstore foundation don't always have the best colour range, especially for people with darker skin. However the Loreal True Match Foundation has a great range which is rare for a drugstore foundation and even I was able to find an appropriate colour match and I never find my colour at the drugstore. I love this foundation it feels lightweight, has good coverage and lasts really well on your skin. I have talked about it more in detail in my top drugstore foundation post.

I picked this concealer on a whim, but I have been pleasantly surprised by it. It does a really good job at concealing blemishes as well as covering dark circles, I am too lazy to use two concealers on a day to day basis. It has thick creamy consistency which is really easy to blend in and also it lasts pretty well throughout the day. The coverage is definitely build-able and it doesn't look cakey.

This is my favourite brow product from the drugstore. I have quite full and defined natural eyebrows which is lucky because I am not great at doing them. But this product has made it so simple, that even I can do it and make my brows look quite good. The Revlon Brow Fantasy is a double ended pencil which comes with a handy tinted gel, which sets your brows and keeps them neat. I love the pencil it's not waxy or hard just the right consistency to work with and the colour is great especially if you dark hair. I have talked about it some more here.

I love me some blush, it just adds something to your look. MUA do lipstick and blushers really well and the best part is that you only pay £1 (complete bargain, I know). The pigmentation of these blushers are really good and they have a really good colour range as well. The blush itself isn't too powdery or doesn't appear cakey on the skin like with some other drugstore blushers that I have tried. You should definitely check them out next time you are in Superdrugs.

Soap & Glory One Heck of a Blot:
By far one of the best powders I have found from the drugstore (check out what other powders I love here). It's so finely milled, that you don't even feel on your skin and you don't get that powdery look. It comes in translucent so it won't mess up your foundation, in fact it makes my foundation last better especially in the warm weather we have been having lately. It does a good job at keeping my oiliness at bay, and I rarely have to touch up throughout the day.

I love lipsticks, my collection is getting out of hand. My favourites from the drugstore is the Kate Moss lipsticks for Rimmel, they are great and super affordable. The colour payoff is awesome, they last well on my lips. They feel nice on your lips, they aren't drying even the matte ones. My favourite colours have to be 107 and 111, beautiful bold reds.

I couldn't only include one lip product, for everyday use I love the Revlon lip butters. They are so easy to use, especially when you are out and about because you don't need a mirror just slap it on. I would describe these as the love child of a great lipstick and a great lip balm, they are so moisturising on the lips. They don't last so well, only because they are so nourishing and soft ( can we say that about a lipstick). I love truffle pink for an everyday pink colour and tutti fruiti an orange that everyone can pull off.

I have the shortest lashes ever and mascara well I have to make them work for me which is pretty hard. I love this mascara it actually does something for my lashes and makes them look half decent. It has a big big brush, which surprisingly is easy to use and not so scary and it's great at coating all the individual lashes. I think it does a good job at both lengthening and volumising your lashes. I would definitely recommend this mascara to everyone and I will continue to use again and again.

Everyone's favourite brushes, they are absolutely great and so affordable. They have the softest hairs ever and make applying your makeup so nice. I have washed them numerous times and I haven't found the hairs to shred at all and my collection has lasted pretty well. I do wish you were able to pick up all of the brushes by themselves, I love the buffing brush but I don't really want to get the core set like twice so that is the only downfall.

Expensive luxury products aren't always better and the drugstore is constantly bringing out great products. I definitely recommend you check out these products next you are in the drugstore and make sure to leave me your favourites down below.

I often pop into superdrug to buy MUA products, but I haven't yet tried the blushers- definitely on my list to buy!
